Thymogen

Thymogen is a synthetic peptide bioregulator, one of the shortest of its kind, built from just two amino acids linked together (glutamic acid and tryptophan). It is best known in research for its role in studies of the thymus and immune-related cells, and its tiny size is what makes it stand out.

It comes out of the well-documented Khavinson line of peptide work, with studies looking at short peptides and how they behave in the body (Khavinson & Anisimov, 2009). That history is why it turns up often as a reference compound in this field.
