Description
Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide composed of four naturally occurring amino acids. It is primarily studied for its role in cellular aging processes, particularly through its interaction with telomere biology. Unlike conventional antioxidant approaches that focus on limiting oxidative damage, Epitalon is investigated for its ability to influence fundamental genetic and cellular mechanisms associated with lifespan regulation.
Research interest in Epitalon centers on its capacity to support telomere maintenance, regulate gene expression linked to cellular renewal, and modulate neuroendocrine signaling pathways associated with circadian rhythm and aging.
The peptide is supplied as a lyophilized powder to ensure optimal stability during storage and handling.
Epitalon (Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) derived from the pineal gland bioregulator epithalamin. Research has investigated its ability to stimulate telomerase activity, lengthen telomeres in somatic cells, and regulate melatonin secretion via the pineal gland. Preclinical studies have explored its effects on circadian rhythm normalization, antioxidant enzyme activity, and lifespan extension in animal models. Human studies by Khavinson et al. documented improved biomarkers in elderly subjects (Khavinson et al., 2003 — Neuroendocrinology Letters).
The peptide is supplied as a lyophilized powder to ensure optimal stability during storage and handling. Store at -20°C. See also: FOXO4-DRI, Pinealon 20 mg, Thymogen
