IGF-1 LR3 1 mg
For in-vitro laboratory research use only. Not intended for human consumption, veterinary, diagnostic, or clinical use.
Description
IGF-1 LR3 is a synthetic 83-amino-acid analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), engineered with an N-terminal 13-residue extension and an Arg³ substitution. It is classified as an IGF-1-receptor (IGF-1R) research peptide developed for investigation of IGF-1 signaling research in laboratory models.
Through engagement of the IGF-1 receptor while exhibiting markedly reduced affinity for the six IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs), IGF-1 LR3 is investigated as a tool compound for studying PI3K/Akt signaling research, MAPK/ERK pathway engagement, and extended-bioavailability IGF-1R activation in controlled research models. The reduced IGFBP binding profile makes IGF-1 LR3 a useful research compound where prolonged receptor engagement is methodologically relevant.
IGF-1 LR3 is actively investigated across several research domains, including IGF-1-receptor signaling research, PI3K/Akt pathway investigation, MAPK/ERK signaling research, and cell-culture research models. Published characterization established that LR3 IGF-1 variants display reduced IGFBP binding and approximately 2.5-fold greater anabolic potency compared with native IGF-1 in laboratory animal research models, supporting continued investigation in IGF-1 signaling research (Tomas et al., 1992, Biochemical Journal).
The peptide is supplied as a lyophilized powder to ensure optimal stability during storage and handling.
