IGF-1 LR3 1 mg
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Description
IGF-1 LR3 is a synthetically engineered, long-acting analogue of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), developed to enhance biological activity and prolong molecular stability compared to endogenous IGF-1. Through targeted amino-acid modifications, IGF-1 LR3 exhibits markedly reduced binding to IGF-binding proteins while maintaining strong affinity for the IGF-1 receptor, resulting in sustained and amplified signaling activity.
Due to its extended functional duration of approximately 20–30 hours and increased biological potency, IGF-1 LR3 is widely utilized in experimental research focused on cellular growth, tissue regeneration, metabolic regulation, and advanced cell-culture systems. Its signaling activity primarily involves the PI3K/Akt and MAPK pathways, which play central roles in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival.
The peptide is supplied as a lyophilized powder to ensure optimal stability during storage and handling.
IGF-1 LR3 activates the IGF-1 receptor (IGF1R) and downstream PI3K/Akt and MAPK/ERK signaling pathways, promoting protein synthesis, glucose uptake, and inhibition of apoptosis. Its extended half-life compared to native IGF-1 allows sustained receptor engagement in in vitro and in vivo research models. Studies have explored its role in muscle hypertrophy models, neuroprotection, and skeletal muscle satellite cell activation (Laron, 2001 — Nature Reviews Drug Discovery).
The peptide is supplied as a lyophilized powder to ensure optimal stability during storage and handling. Store at -20°C. See also: HGH 176–191 5 mg, Ipamorelin 10 mg, Sermorelin 5 mg
